Last month Cardi B pulled out of multiple shows to recover from recent plastic surgery. Last night (5 June), the rapper cancelled her headline performance at Manchester’s Parklife festival this weekend for the same reason.
Revealing the news on socials, Parklife festival wrote, “As some of you will have seen, Cardi B was forced to cancel some performances in May. The Parklife team have just been notified that Cardi now also needs to pull out of Parklife this weekend. As such there will be some changes to the previously advertised lineup, stage splits, and times. We are working on this currently.”
They added, “We are very sorry for the late notice but we have only just had confirmation from Cardi’s team that she will not be able to perform.”
During an Instagram Live video last week, Cardi B revealed, “I hate cancelling shows because I love money. I’m a money addict and I get paid a lot of money for these shows. I’m cancelling millions of dollars in shows, but health is wealth so I have to do what I have to do.”
Her most recent single “Press” dropped last Friday (31 May).
